FAST FASHION AND ITS PROBLEMS
Fashion and style are a way to communicate, to express ourselves, and also to find an identity. But the fashion industry has a dark background. Fast fashion is an industry with cheap production, low quality, and at least but not least, a big impact on human and environmental rights.
A lot of famous brands use to fabricate their collections in developing countries, underpaying people forced to work there because of their poverty and using polluting materials and production processes.
What can we do? Do not be a consumerist, prefer vintage, second hand, or ethical brands. To do this, you must know the brands from where you buy and make some research to control the product chain. The first step to act is to inform yourself.
And remember: if you pay something less than it’s worth, someone else is paying it for you.
