Stephanie at the Costa Rica project

My 2 weeks at the center were really great, I had to feed animals like white face monkeys, birds like tukans or macaws, titi monkeys, owls and I even got to feed a sloth called Marly, which was really cute! You don't only have to feed the animals, you also have to prepare the food or clean their cages. Another good thing is, that you learn a lot about the animals! While is was working in the shelter I stayed at a house from a very nice lady called Jenny. She made me (and the other volunteers who lived there with me) feel like this was our home too. She always helped us in every possible way and her 2 dogs were really cute too! I am very glad that I could stay there, all in all it was a great experience and I can definitely recommend this program.
